When we were children, a performance inspired us; we imitated it in our bedrooms, alone, door closed, but with the notion that we could do it, unafraid, for an audience of thousands.

Now, we will revisit and perform these pieces. But will we feel the same about them? How had we remembered them, and how do we perceive them now?

Inspired by Swiss artist Massimo Furlan’s play 1973 about his memories of the 1973 Eurovision singing contest, Creation 2011 explores the art that influenced our creative paths, and what about it has changed or stayed the same since our childhoods.

A note on the title:
1973 played in the 2010 Festival d'Avignon. In the Festival, shows that have only working titles are designated as "Création," plus the current year.
