On stage, Electra stops. The actress can’t say her next line. She feels a tremendous urge to laugh. She exits. Like any other evening, she has dinner with her husband.  She goes to bed.

She never speaks again.

Two women, a silent actress and a nurse, by the water, living in a house.

 

They are slow and purposeful in their daily tasks.

 

maybe they are in love.

maybe their souls are touching.

they pour into each other.

 

Persona is an experiment in perception, an intimate exploration into the terror of losing oneself.

 

It is live and happening in front of you.

 

It is a play about two women watching their hands.
